Rates: $45 per person per night 
Meals: $10 per meal, per person 

Deposit: 20% of Estimated total due upon confirmation of reservation (this will be deducted from your final balance)

To calculate estimated total:
1) # of attendees x $45 nightly rate x # of nights = approximate rate cost
2) # of attendees x $10 meal x # of meals = approximate meal cost
3) approximate rate cost + approximate meal cost = total estimated cost
To calculate deposit amount: 
total estimated cost x .20 = deposit amount 

We provide two options for meals. 

Option 1: Guests are responsible for all food purchase, cooking, serving, and clean-up. The person responsible for cooking must have an Illinois Certified Food Manager License if this option is chosen. You are welcome to use all equipment in the kitchen, but everything must be cleaned and put away as you found it. Failure to properly clean or use equipment may result in an additional cleaning and maintenance fee of $150. 

Option 2: Life One Way staff and volunteers will provide all meals including food purchase, cooking, serving, and clean-up. Meals are priced at $10 per person, per meal. We are fully licensed through Illinois and Christian County health departments. If you are choosing this option, please choose your preferred meal times below.

Reservations:

DEPOSIT MUST BE RECEIVED IN ORDER TO CONFIRM A RESERVATION!

Life One Way Retreat Center will hold your date(s) as tentative until the reservation deposit is paid. The required deposit will be 20% of the estimated total event cost, based on the rates listed above, meal choices, and the number of guests. Please refer to the Pricing section above to calculate estimated total and deposit amounts.  

Billing & Payment:

DEPOSIT IS DUE AT TIME OF RESERVATION 

The required deposit of 20% of the estimated total is due at the time of reservation, with the balance and final total to be paid UPON ARRIVAL based on the predetermined number of guests and meals provided in the Pricing section above.

Cancellations:

The reservation deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE unless the event is canceled due to weather conditions or ONE MONTH prior to the event date. 

It is the sole responsibility of any group with a reservation to inform Life One Way of a cancellation as soon as possible in order to accommodate other potential guests for those dates. 

Code of Conduct 

1. No drugs, alcohol, smoking, or vaping on the property. 

2. No firearms unless authorized under Illinois’ Concealed Carry Permit.

3. Group leaders are expected to supervise their attendees and ensure compliance with code of conduct.

4. Any incidents involving injury, illness, facility damage/needs, staff issues/needs will be reported to Life One Way staff IMMEDIATELY. 

Expectations 

1. One Way facilities will be left in the same condition as upon arrival.

2. All games, activity balls, tables and chairs must be put back where they were found.

3. All outdoor items must be put away properly - i.e. life jackets, gear, and canoe paddles in storage shed, boats and canoes turned upside down on the shore.

4. All decorations must be easily removable and taken down before your group leaves. Please do not use pushpins or thumbtacks to hang items, use only paint-safe tape if needed. Any items left behind will be thrown away. 

5. Please pickup the floors of guest rooms and sanctuary, vacuums are available in the storage room if needed. 

6. Please collect all garbage from individual rooms and combine with bathroom garbages on each floor. 

7. If guests are providing their own meals, please ensure all garbage in the dining and kitchen areas is properly tied off and taken to the dumpster. 

8. Guest groups will be held financially liable for any damages caused beyond normal expected wear and tear. 

Our guest services staff members will be present during your retreat stay in as little or as much capacity as is needed for your group. 

Please furnish us with a schedule along with any anticipated needs so that we may prepare to meet your needs. 

We carry liability and medical insurance to the limits of the law. Please note that in the event of an incident involving a guest, our insurance will pay second to the guest’s primary insurance holder. 

The local community has an active volunteer fire department and first responder team. 

Life One Way will notify guests of any threatening weather and any necessary precautions to take in the event of inclement conditions. 

Life One Way is committed to praying for every group and event held at our facilities, please let us know if there are any specific prayers that you have for your group. 

The group representative’s signature below indicates that they have read, understood, and agreed to the above retreat agreement, all reservation, billing, and cancellation policies, and the Life One Way Code of Conduct and Expectations. Failure to abide by the above agreed upon contract may result in the group being held legally and/or financially liable.
